Project Lifesaver International
Project Lifesaver International (PLI) helps provide rapid response to save lives and reduce potential for serious injury for adults and children who wander due to Alzheimer’s, Autism, Down Syndrome, dementia and other related disorders. PLI, teaming with LoJack SafetyNet, provides equipment, training, certification and support to law enforcement, public safety organizations and community groups which operate the Project Lifesaver program in their communities. PLI has over 1,000 participating agencies across the U.S., Canada, and Australia, and has performed over 1,900 searches in the last 10 years with a 100% success rate. Visit Project Lifesaver Website.
Service Projects
One of the objectives of our local club is to reach out in the community and help those suffering from brain disorders. Some projects toward that end have been:
- Contribute bicycle helmets to the Salvation Army to be donated to children in need.
- Furnish Lifeline Support Systems to the elderly living at home.
- Organize parties and contribute favors to local nursing homes.
- Visit local schools and educate children about “BrainMinders,” a safety program which highlights injury prevention.
